Pre-conference Offering
Held January 27 - 28
Our 2024 PreConference will be a well-being retreat led by Living Compass Spirituality and Wellness Initiative. They will be guiding us through their Retreat on Two Feet which is a contemplative walking program (that does offer mobility accommodations!).
They describe it as, "an invitation to slow down and pay attention, put aside distractions, and notice the presence of the Sacred that surrounds us at every moment. To closely notice is to see the Sacred in the ordinary. We often think we need to seek the Sacred in the extraordinary when all we have to do is simply pay attention in a new way to what surrounds us at every moment. This kind of attention truly is the beginning of devotion."
Not only will you get to contemplate your current well-being and set self-care plans & goals for the coming year on this retreat, but you will also be trained on how to use Living Compass skills in your own settings.
This retreat presents a unique chance for participants to contemplate their personal well-being, establish self-care objectives for the forthcoming year, and also be trained on necessary skills to utilize Living Compass resources in their centers. Those who complete 15 hours of training during this event can earn a Community Wellness Advocate certification, with the option to complete a 60-minute Zoom session after the conference to achieve certification.
