Reflecting on 2024: Gratitude, Impact, and Opportunities to Give

As I have reflected on 2024, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible strides made through the collective efforts of the ECCC community. ECCC has worked tirelessly to strengthen and support our network. But none of this would be possible without the generous support of our donors and advocates. As the year comes to a close, I hope you will join us in our work with a gift of any amount, helping us continue to make an impact.

This year, ECCC has:

  • Advocated for Episcopal Church-wide change by successfully passing Resolution D024 at General Convention, encouraging Episcopal entities to prioritize ECCC centers for events and gatherings.

  • Increased visibility of our mission by presenting the Hero of Camping Award in both houses at General Convention for the first time in ECCC history, highlighting the vital ministry of camps, conference and retreat centers, and Episcopal farms.

  • Collaborated in groundbreaking research with the Office of Faith Formation, studying the impact of camp ministry on youth and young adults.

  • Responded to crises by launching a Hurricane Relief Hub that connected volunteers with centers in need and provided essential resources. ECCC was able to get satellite internet, chainsaws, hygiene products and other vital support  to 5 of the hardest-hit centers

  • Partnered with The Camino Project on the future launch of Holy Expeditions in 2025, a mobile app from the Office of Faith Formation that brings the pilgrimage experience to your fingertips. ECCC centers will be able to serve as official Expedition Sites, strengthening the network and ministry of all our members.

  • Met professional development needs of center leadership with a reimagined Leaders Circle, a series of virtual, synchronous continuing education workshops led by field experts. These workshops address topics requested directly by our membership and operate on a pay-what-you-can scale, ensuring accessibility for all, regardless of financial resources.

Every gift, big or small, helps us serve more effectively. Make your end-of-year pledge today or consider setting up a recurring gift to sustain this vital ministry throughout the year. Your generosity makes a lasting impact, building a stronger and more connected Episcopal community.

Thank you for your continued support of ECCC.

In Gratitude,

Jess
