ECCC Honors Trailblazing leaders with inaugural trailblazer class
In a historic moment for Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers (ECCC), the organization proudly presented the first-ever Trailblazer Award at this year’s annual conference celebration night. The Trailblazer Award recognizes leaders who, though relatively new to their roles, have already made a profound impact on their communities. These individuals exemplify remarkable leadership, inspiring those around them through their energy, initiative, and commitment.
ECCC acknowledges that without trailblazers in camp and retreat ministry, the organization itself would not exist. To commemorate the launch of this prestigious honor, multiple outstanding leaders were recognized in this inaugural year—more than will typically be awarded in the future. This special recognition celebrates those who have been shaping and strengthening the field, ensuring that camp and retreat ministry continues to flourish for generations to come.
Each honoree has stepped into their role with passion and vision, advancing the mission of camp and retreat ministry while fostering spaces of belonging, connection, and transformation. By celebrating these leaders, ECCC not only acknowledges their individual achievements but also the collective momentum of new leadership ensuring that sacred spaces continue to thrive.
