Announcing the 2018 Peter Bergstrom Leadership Award recipient

The Peter Bergstrom Leadership Award recognizes a deeply committed member of the ECCC community who has advanced the cause of Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers through mentoring, advocacy, and innovative programming.

2018's recipient is Rob Watson, Director of Camps & Conferences for the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, home of Camp Capers, Mustang Island Conference Center, and Duncan Park, Colorado.

An American Camp Association Standards instructor and Visitor and former ECCC - Episcopal Camps & Conference Centers board member, Rob is known as a seasoned camping professional who is willing and able to assist his younger colleagues (and not-so-young colleagues, too!). He believes in the power of camp, demonstrated through his years at YMCA, Coca Cola, Presbyterian, and Episcopal camps, and is a visionary leader, committed to inclusive programming and thoughtful expansion.

Rob is a generous mentor, and inspiring leader, and we're pleased to honor him as this year's Peter Bergstrom Leadership Award recipient. Thank you, Rob, for your years of service and friendship!
